Google's algorithms are a system used to find data from the search index and deliver the best possible results for a their search. The search engines uses a set of algorithms to deliver webpages ranked by relevance on its search results pages

Google introduced their first algorithm update named as PANDA in 2011. Panda used to avoid content spamming. The Wrong actions which find out by panda were,

1) plagiarism:-

plagiarism means the content duplications and to check the content where it taken from.

2) Less Quality Checking:-

Google don't like to crawl the websites, if the quality of website is poor or it have spelling mistakes.

3) Content Spinning:-

Google don't crawl the websites which loops same contents repeatedly.

4) Thin Pages:-

Google don't crawl the webpages which is less in contents.

5) Keyword stuffing:-

Google don't crawl websites which includes the focusing keyword more times in a webpage.

Then google introduced another algorithm update named as PENGUIN update on 2012. Penguin used to avoid Link Spamming. The Wrong actions which find out by Penguin were,

1) Link Exchange:-

Exchanges links from one website to another to get reach for their websites.

2) Buy or Sell Links:-

Buy or Sell links for cash to to get reach for their websites.

3) Comment Spamming:-

Putting their own website links in another comment prompt or other websites or blogs.

4) Wiki Spamming:- 

Add their own website links in Wikipedia contents.

5) Links from less quality webpages:-

Google don't like to crawl websites which taken links from less quality webpages.

6) Over use of guest blogging:-

Google don't like to crawl webpages which taken more links from other blogs.

7) More occurrence of anchor tags:-

Google don't like to crawl webpages which use more anchor tags to get links to their websites.

Then Google introduced another algorithm update named as HUMMING BIRD update on 2013,  which provides deep and semantic search results for the user.

Then Google introduced another algorithm update named as PIGEON update on 2014. After that Pigeon update, Google tried to find out the current location of searching user, and used to provide nearby results depending their needs. Google promoted websites which getting likes and shares from nearby social media users and embed google map location in their websites helped to improve their local area reach.

Then google introduced another algorithm update named as RANK BRAIN update on 2015,which was a modified version of Humming bird update which automatically suggests keywords depending upon the previous mostly searched keywords.

After that, Google introduced another algorithm update named as MOBILEGEDDON update on 2015, which was Google's mobile friendly updates. It helped to provide mobile friendly websites for the users. Searchers can easily find good quality and relevant result where text is readable without zooming or tapping and the page avoids unplayable content and horizontal scrolling.

some other updates of google are,

* Parked Domain Update:- in 2012, users can purchase a domain and can keep that domain in parking mode. by the parked domain update, google blocked indexing such parked websites.

* EMD update(Exact Match Domain) :- in 2012 , google blocked the websites which have same name as the searching keyword.

* Pirate Update:- Pirate update prohibited copying same content from other webpages under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act(1998).
